Venus and Mercury in Pisces: Soft Magic in a season of storms!
The Light Beyond the Eclipse
Hi, Everyone,
Venus, planet of love, beauty, value, creativity, kindness, partnerships, and money, entered the Mutable water sign of Pisces on 2/10/26 at 5:19 am EST, where it will be through 3/6/26. Venus loves being in Pisces, where she is in her exaltation. Venus in Pisces is so very dreamy, cosmic, empathetic, loving, and magical! You dig?!
We are in Eclipse season, which is a time to rock and roll, expect a lot of change in a short period of time, a sense of heightened activity, and anxiety. At present, Mercury and Venus are the two personal planets transiting in Pisces. Mercury has a long tour in Pisces, as it retrogrades on 2/26/26 at 22 degrees and 34 minutes of Pisces. It stations direct on 3/20/26 at 8 degrees and 30 minutes of Pisces. It leaves the sign altogether on 4/14/26.
Right now, there is a tour bus of planets in Pisces, and it gives a dreamy feeling to a time, in which we receive so much unexpected news. All of the Aquarian/Uranian energy could make you feel wide awake and wired like you stayed up and did coke all night with Fleetwood Mac. Computers, gadgets, lights, sudden news, and yikes!
With the Pisces pileup, It is almost like Universe wants us to SLOW down a bit and to tune into our feelings, dreams, and the messages that we receive in subtle ways like music, clocks, birds, sunsets, etc. While Venus is exalted, glamorous, ethereal, lavender and jewel toned in Pisces, Mercury in Pisces is in its detriment and can feel like taking an extended road trip in the mud.
I feel a very glowing feeling from all of these points in Pisces. There has been nonstop chaos since the very beginning of the year; yet, somehow, the points in Pisces remind me to hold our dreams close. Saturn is at the very final degree of the Zodiac. It is an anararetic degree, which is a degree of finality, crisis, and the need to master the lessons of that sign. It is a high pressure degree. In this case, Saturn is finishing up its tour of the entire Zodiac! It leaves on 2/13/26, and that is right around the corner!
Saturn at the last degree of Pisces is very emotionally intense and can be unbalanced. I feel that Venus, Mercury, and the North Node want us to connect to faith, love, and the imagination. We are preparing for a MAJOR new chapter when Saturn ingresses back into the Cardinal fire sign of Aries on 2/13/26, where it will be through 4/12/28. Saturn and Neptune meet up approximately every 36 years. The two will meet up right at the Aries point, which is the first degree of the Zodiac, on 2/13/26 to commence a new story.
With Venus in Pisces, you can magnetize magic. Mercury in Pisces is not the most logical in Pisces, but it is so psychically in tune, that you cannot believe the dreams that you can have, the people that can visit you, and the places you can go -- all without leaving the mud. The two personal planets -- along with the North Node of Destiny -- want you to sail into an ocean of possibility and suspend disbelief.
Venus will meet up with the North Node of Karma on 2/16/26, which is the day before the Solar Eclipse in Aquarius. A cosmic call for love and compassion! Love hurts, but it also heals. Venus and the North together is a strong message for all. Mercury in Pisces wants you to see the world through love.
The Solar Eclipse falls on the following day in the futuristic and groundbreaking sign of Aquarius and clashes with its ruler -- Uranus -- by just a degree. Let’s add some twists and turns to shake it up further. This Eclipse occurs just three days before Saturn and Neptune meet up at the world point, which means it is a 10 star week in terms of big events Astrologically! Uranus represents chaos; but, it also signifies enlightenment and truth. It can really bring illumination if you let it show you the light.
There is a nostalgia this month, which is connected with all of these points in Pisces, Mercury retrograding in Pisces at end of month, and Venus conjunct North Node in Solar Eclipse chart. We are wrapping up the karma of all of the eleven preceding signs, and we are establishing new boundaries with new dreams. We are most certainly prepping up for the NEW, but we will reminisce quite a bit about what has been.
One of my favorite episodes of “Mad Men” was when Don Draper was trying to pitch an idea to Kodac on an episode entitled, “The Carousel.” He references an old advertising associate, who was Greek and emphasized nostalgia in marketing. He said, “In Greek, ‘nostalgia’ literally means ‘the pain from an old wound.’ It’s a twinge in your heart far more powerful than memory alone.”
In Greek, nostalgia does “the pain of wanting to return home” because none of us ever can. In this next six weeks or so, there will be a sense of nostalgia, as none of us can go home; yet, we can benefit from the comfort of those memories. Today, I felt all of the points in Pisces in such an embrace while I took my winter walk, and it sent me to straight to being eight years old again.
It reminded me of when we first got a place upstate on the Finger Lakes, and I was able to skate right on the lake, as it was frozen solid. I felt like Laura Ingalls in “Little House on the Prairie,” and this city kid felt as rustic as could be, and I skated as fast and fiercely as I could. Forget the streets of the city, the lake was pure, solid, and without a soul in sight. I remembered that as fast I flew on that lake, I kept close to the shore the entire time.
My father had once told me of a time when he was seven years old and skating on that lake. A little boy, who shared his first name, fell right through the ice and drowned in front of him. This is where childhood winter fantasies and dreams can become a family’s nightmare. We have to know what dreams are solid, and how we can we glide with faith that we can still create, love, and be free.
We still need to have glimpse of those brief moments of moments and experiences that are meant for a child, but we still have to frame them with boundaries that keep us safe. Saturn is at the edge of Karma and asks you to assess where you need to stay safe by the shore but still have courage and zest to fly in the sky because Mercury and Venus want you to dream and still believe in magic!
