Total Lunar Eclipse in Virgo: Now is not time for practicality!
Venus, planet of love
Hi, Everyone,
Eclipse season is here, and we just experienced two very powerful, disruptive, chaotic, and life changing eclipses. The first Eclipse was highly disruptive, chaotic, illuminating, and it emphasized for a few key points. These Eclipses are groundbreaking because Saturn and Neptune both met up for the first time since they last met up in November of 1989; but, more importantly, they met up at the very first degree of the Zodiac known as the Aries point for the first time in over 9,000 years.
This is a time that many structures become dissolved, and illusions are shattered on a mass level and regarding many that are in the public eye. This is also a time in which each of us experiences a new beginning. We are planting a new seeding and starting a new chapter.
It was an Annular Solar Eclipse that occurred on 2/17/26 at 28 degrees and 50 minutes of the Fixed air sign of Aquarius. This Eclipse clashed with its modern ruler -- Uranus -- the ruler of sudden shakeups, surprise, illumination, invention, chaos, disruption, and immediate fixed change.
This Eclipse emphasizes the Astrology for this year, the next few years, and truly the age of Pluto in Aquarius, which lasts through January of 2044. Uranus represents the future. We got glimpses last year with all of the outer planets in Fire and Air signs; but, as of 4/25/26, all of the outer planets will be back in Fire and Air signs emphasizing passion, enthusiasm, ingenuity, brainstorming, community, and inventions like we have never seen! Uranus will transit in the Mutable air sign of Gemini from 4/25/26 through 8/3/33.
Uranus, the modern ruler of the Fixed air sign of Aquarius and the planet that symbolizes community, groups, revolution, higher truth, freedom, technology, and the FUTURE was a major factor in this recent Eclipse. It rules the sign of Aquarius in Modern Astrology, but the Eclipse itself was just within a degree from clashing with Uranus in Taurus. There were four points in the unpredictable and Uranian sign of Aquarius, and Uranus set it off and added more volatility, surprise, change and fast news!
Uranus represents earthquakes, seismic activity, explosions, and unpredictable weather patterns. There are many explosions happening in every current of our world. I made the brilliant choice to see clients for readings in LA during the week of the first Eclipse in Aquarius followed by the legendary pairing of Saturn and Neptune at the world point in Aries that occurred on 2/20/26 at 0 degrees and 45 minutes of Aries. The two had not met at the Aries point for over 9000 years, and I flew towards one rain storm in the West Coast back to an even bigger snow storm on the East Coast. That sums up the energy; yet, somehow, I knew I would fly seamlessly and in spite of the chaos. Neither way had delays, which was remarkable.
Saturn is the modern ruler of the Cardinal earth sign of Capricorn and the ancient ruler of the Fixed air sing of Aquarius. Saturn is the planet of karma, rules, authority, responsibility, structure, restrictions, and limitations. Neptune is the planet of dreams, imagination, the ocean, psychic ability, magic, media, confusion, illusion, delusion, deception, drugs, escapism, and self-undoing.
Saturn and Neptune meet up approximately every 36 years in the sky. The last year that they met up was in 1989, in which they met up three times. That was the year when the Berlin Wall came down in November of 1989 during the third and final clash of the two planets in Capricorn, which is ruled by the planet Saturn. That was also the year of the Tiananmen square massacre in June of 1989 during the second pairing of the two.
That Solar Eclipse was at the end of Aquarius and was only 10 minutes away from being at the final degree of the sign of Aquarius, which is known as an anaretic degree. There is an element of crisis. Something jarring and disruptive in order to wake out of our slumber. That Eclipse involved four points in the highly unpredictable sign of Aquarius, and it squared its quirky ruler -- Uranus.
We then reflect on this new Saturn/Neptune story. Saturn and Neptune have no idea yet as to what this new chapter entails. Neptune dissolves many structures, situations, relationships, etc in our lives, and that will be a recurrent theme in 2026. There are many new dreams to which we give life. We co-create on that global level to infuse this new period of time with love, creativity, kindness, and intuition.
Neptune is highly emphasized, as it is currently at the world point -- even though it is no longer in the sign of Pisces, which it rules in Modern Astrology. Neptune's influence is so strong and makes everything seems elusive, dreamy, psychic, foggy, intuitive, nostalgic, and confusing. Mercury retrograded on 2/26/26 at 22 degrees and 34 minutes of the Mutable water sign of Pisces and will station direct on the day of the Spring Equinox, which is 3/20/26 at 8 degrees and 30 minutes of Pisces.
Mercury entered its shadow on 2/10/26 when it reached 8 degrees and 30 minutes of Pisces. That gave us a foreshadowing of what this Mercury Retrograde/Eclipse season would entail. Mercury stations direct on 3/20/26 at 8 degrees and 30 minutes and will clear its shadow on 4/9/26 when it returns to 22 degrees and 34 minutes of Pisces. It leaves the sign of Pisces altogether on 4/14/26.
Mercury does not like being in the sign of Pisces. It rules the opposite sign of Virgo, where Mercury is practical, grounded, logical, and detailed. Mercury in Pisces swims in many directions and is best when it listens to its inner self and trusts its intuition.
This Total Lunar Eclipse occurred on 3/3/26 at 6:38 am EST at 12 degrees and 54 minutes of the Mutable earth sign of Virgo. As aforementioned, Mercury rules the sign of Virgo and is currently in its detriment and retrograde. It does not have a logical clue. The Eclipse in Virgo focuses on health and wellness, routines, work, being of service, learning, and overall self improvement.
There are five points in the Pisces, which means that as grounded and logical as you may try to be, surrendering to something higher than yourself, coming from a place of compassion, and trying to meditate and co-create with magic are your best options at present.
A Total Lunar Eclipse means that the Nodes of the Moon have to be within nine degrees of the moon in order to be a Total Lunar Eclipse. In this case, the South Node of Karma is just four degrees away from the Moon. A Total Lunar Eclipse is like a Full Moon on steroids; but, in Eclipses, you can experience or see others experience major beginnings on a Lunar Eclipse and many endings on a New Moon/Solar Eclipse.
Eclipses are like wild cards. You know a lot will happen in a very short period of time. It is a very eventful time, in which life seems a lot more pressured and intense. Much change happens in a very short period of time, and you can receive very unexpected news that can change your life in an instant. Eclipses can also trigger situations where something has been building up for a while, and the Eclipse finally eclipses the person or situation out of the equation.
With the powerful recent Saturn/Neptune conjunction at the very first degree of the Zodiac, which is also known as a world point and impacts each and every one of us and those also on the world stage, these Eclipses are extra powerful because they highlight a VERY significant new era for all of us.
In the Total Lunar Eclipse, there are six points in water, which re-emphasizes the need to listen one's inner voice and instincts. Mars, the planet of action, passion, impulsive, drive, and ego, entered the sign of Pisces on 3/2/26, where it will be through 4/9/26; The North Node of Karma, which is what you are meant to embrace, and it is conjunct Mars at a wide orb; The sun, which represents identity, and how you shine; Mercury retrograde, which insists that you search within to create that new dream and find some faith in a broken world; Venus, which is exalted, miraculous, loving, selfless, creative, and kind in Pisces.
Mercury formed a semi-square to Pluto on 3/4/26, and this is prominent in this Eclipse chart. The South Node Eclipse already invites each of us to let go of self destructive habits. Mercury rules the sign of Virgo and is interfacing with Pluto to encourage us all to release the negative thought patterns and routines that keep us from evolving in this new year of possibility. Mercury does not leave the sign of Pisces until 4/14/26.
This Eclipse wants you to release those habits that you constantly repeat that hinder your growth. Time to release the constant inner dialogue that criticizes your weaknesses and does not celebrate your attempts at self improvement. Reframe the thinking, keep learning, and keep trying!
The Sun in Pisces forms a beautiful trine to Jupiter, the luckiest planet. Jupiter is the Ancient ruler of the sign of Pisces and encourages you to manifest and work with your imagination in spite of fear of the unknown. Embrace a world that is increasingly unpredictable but equally exciting and available for learning and connection!
Jupiter, the luckiest planet, stations direct on 3/10/26 at 15 degrees and 05 minutes of the Mutable water sign of Pisces. We feel the energy five days before and five days afterwards. Mars formed a challenging sesquiquadrate to Jupiter, the planet of exaggeration, on 3/2/26. Jupiter is about to station. This expands EVERYTHING! Talk about intense emotions! There are five points in Pisces and Jupiter which rules Pisces and is the Grand benefic is expanding ALL of this emotional, psychic, elusive energy.
There is a huge nostalgia with Mercury retrograde in Pisces, which reminds us to reflect on what we most certainly are bidding adieu; but, we need to remember what we have lost, what we have surrendered, and what dreams are now illusions or have been realized more than we perhaps did.
Uranus, the modern ruler of Aquarius, returns to Gemini on 4/25/26, and it makes its five of five exact trines to Pluto in Aquarius on 7/18/26. Neptune will be the midpoint of that beautiful and helpful flow of energy, which brings infinite potential. Neptune is the dream; Uranus is the inventive thinking and brainstorming; Pluto is the transcendence that we can achieve.
Right now, it is time to mourn the past. The rebellious and chaotic energy of this recent Eclipse in Aquarius still lingers. Mars clashed with Uranus on 2/27/28, and it reached the degree of the recent Eclipse and set off that volatile dynamic. On the following day, Iran was bombed. There is still tremendous volatility, and people could feel very ungrounded and uncertain with Neptune transiting by the world point, impacting the world leaders and each and every one of us. Time to anchor the dream, face your fears, and know that there is magic ahead. Be a cosmic pioneer and let your intuition, love, and vision guide you!
