Pluto stations direct in Aquarius: Here's to freedom!

For the last couple of years since Pluto initially entered the Fixed air sign of Aquarius, it has been waffling back and forth from the Cardinal earth sign of Capricorn (old traditions, public status, people in power,) to the Fixed air sign of Aquarius ( the future, technology, community, intellectual progress, ascension, and the collective.)
This is the first time in any of our lifetimes that Pluto has stationed direct in the sign of Aquarius. Last fall, it stationed direct in the sign of Capricorn before into returned to the sign of Aquarius on 11/19/24, where it will tour through January of 2044. It is also the first time that Pluto has stationed direct out-of-bounds. It is in harmony with Uranus in Gemini; both are 120 degrees apart and forming a very supportive angle known as a trine. That is good news, as the world can use every ounce of cosmic support.
When an outer planet like Pluto stations direct or retrograde, the planet expresses its qualities and effects in a much more extreme way and tangible way. We feel the buildup five days before and five days afterwards.
When Pluto stations, there are major departures, endings, big beginnings, revelations, psychological breakthroughs, insights, and emotional intensity.
The planet Pluto deals with politics, as it deals with people in power. I have been hearing of a lot of loss since the Eclipses, as Saturn is now at the final degrees of the Zodiac and in Pisces, which is a sign of endings. With the Pluto station, which also involves death and letting go, more people are leaving us behind.
This last period of 2025 involves a lot of endings. All of the outer planets -- aside from Jupiter in Cancer and Pluto in Aquarius -- , return back to the previous signs in which they were transiting earlier in the year in order to complete those lessons and stories we have not yet fully mastered. Neptune returns to the very final degree of the Zodiac and will remain there at 29 degrees of the Mutable water sign of Pisces through 1/26/26.
This Pluto station is a cosmic reminder of what you need to release. There is much magic ahead; but, Saturn and Neptune are still so close. Neptune is at the world point. The fog is too thick to cut. You do not see the possibilities yet, and so many feel defeated. I hear it every day, and I share your feelings sometimes.
Today is a big day, though! President Trump signed the Peace treaty, and the remaining living Gaza hostages were released. Israel released nearly 2000 Palestinian prisoners. There is still much tension; but, this is a clearcut example of Pluto in Aquarius, which is about freedom. Aquarius is a sign of freedom and liberation. I ask in advance to please not make any political comments about this paragraph. It is a direct example of a Pluto station and is important to note.
What do you need to release in your own life? Where are you feeling imprisoned? Uranus and Pluto are still trining one another; however, on 7/18/26, the two will make an exact trine to one another at 4 degrees of the Mutable air sign of Gemini and the Fixed air sign of Aquarius. This is a time of fluid change and growth with technology, culture, and society.

Uranus in Gemini has local but infinite possibility for genius, and Pluto is global and widespread. The sign of Gemini focuses on local communities, and this is a good thing in light of the fact that we connect to so much already to external stimuli that we need to focus on where we are, when we are, and be present.
Let’s merge the two because alienation is not how we evolve with Pluto in Aquarius, of which the modern ruler is Uranus. Uranus in Gemini facilitates our connecting locally. We need community. We can talk across the world; but, for mental health, we need to share a cup of kindness in person every once in a while.
